Neal Jones

Neal Jones is a young highly creative designer who has served his apprenticeship with the best English cabinet makers and has established himself as one of the leading contemporary designers of high quality English Furniture, for hotels, yachts, bars, restaurants and private residences.

Neal graduated from the Brunel University in 1997 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Furniture and Related Product Design. He began work the day after graduating at Stewart Linford Furniture makers where he began to hone his making craft. Neal began with the basics; adzing out solid burr elm chair seats for hand made Windsor chairs, but quickly moved on to concentrate on design where he excelled. Working directly with clients, sketching and creating ideas for their furniture, Neal’s talent was soon recognized when a limited edition desk that he had designed with the owner, Stewart Linford, won a highly prestigious award from the Worshipful Company of Furniture.

Neal was invited to visit John Makepeace at Parnham House with the opportunity to undertake an apprentiship at the end of 1997 but realized his passion was strongly with the design. He has subsequently honed his design skills as a furniture designer for some of the finest furniture makers in England including Silver Lining in Chester, R & D Davidson in London Mayfair, and David Linley & Co in London.

In April 2004 Neal set up Reflex Furniture as a joint venture. Over five years Reflex built a prestigious client base including many of the leading interior design agencies and saw their furniture installed in many fabulous locations around the world.

In October 2009, Neal felt he had gained the relevant experience to strike out on his own. Neal Jones Furniture Limited was born. The key concentration being to deliver a highly personalized design service for private clients.
