This kitchen was commissioned by a private client in Cheshire who wanted it to form the focal point of their main open plan living area. The core of the kitchen was designed as a circular area in the centre of the room with integrated seating areas radiating out. The structural walls were formed to support this unique kitchen shape.
The circular kitchen was hand crafted in American Black Walnut with curved doors on concealed hinges, utilising finger pull shadow gaps above each door in place of handles to maintain the clean lines throughout the kitchen. Black Pearl Granite was selected for all the worktops, with all the joins lining through with the curved doors and spice rack divisions. Around the back centre of the main curve of the island was an area to seat 5 people, consisting of a raised serving/eating bar in granite and walnut, with a secret spice rack, small coffee area and bar area all concealed behind and underneath it.
There is a 7 seater circular seating booth in the corner with a solid wood framework and slip matched veneered curved book matched walnut back panels to match the main kitchen. The booth was upholstered and finished in a high quality leather. There is a circular pedestal table in the centre, hand made in walnut, finished with a smoked glass top. The Coffee / wine area on the side curved wall has curved doors and panelling and follows the curve of the wall, to lead you through the room.
The lighting was the finishing touch in this space and the kitchen takes on a completely different feel at night, creating an even warmer relaxing atmosphere.
