This Elliptical Cabinet is hand crafted in a rare English rippled Walnut and features a solid Ebony base and matching Ebony beading which surrounds the top of the cabinet and the herringbone drawer and cupboard panels. The top of the cabinet features a radially slip matched English walnut starburst pattern and the back of the cabinet is curved and book matched in English rippled walnut.
The cabinet features a single uppermost hand-cut dovetailed drawer and a cupboard beneath. The drawer is lined in black suede and the cupboard door, concealed to look like a second pair of drawers, features a push release catch. The interior of the cupboard compartment features one book matched English Walnut shelf and is hand inlaid in book matched Burr Walnut, creating a beautiful butterfly pattern on the inside of the cabinet.
The curved front face of the drawer and cupboard are hand inlaid in Herringbone English Walnut. The timber is hand selected by the designer for the clarity and beauty of the timber grain. Each piece of timber used in the design is carefully matched to its neighbour, allowing each panel to blend into the next.
