NJORD, the world’s largest superyacht envisioned by Ocean Residences, will be home to a discerning community of owners, sharing a passion for travel, adventure and discovery.

Across oceans, beneath seas, in the air and on land, curated, lifestyle experiences will take residents beyond luxury, bringing the wonders of the world to life. A private superyacht, NJORD was created with a philanthropic purpose; she is equipped to undertake scientific and oceanographic research everywhere she travels. And all on board are united in supporting charities, missions and pressing causes.

Neal Jones Furniture are delighted that we have been selected to provide exterior marine furniture for all decks and terraces for the 117 residency vessel.

NJF & M/Y Njord in the Press

We’re delighted to have been featured numerous times in the press about our involvement with the Njord superyacht. Below you’ll find videos and links to their articles.

Ever since the luxury around-the-world residential superyacht, Njord, was announced, the industry has waited to see what the finer details of this ambitious project would look like.

Neal Jones Furniture (Lancaster, UK) has recently released the first high-quality renders of their designs for an exterior dining area, following the recent news they have been given a letter of intent to supply all exterior furniture on the 291 meter long vessel.

The above image shows six dining chairs in Teak timber and marine upholstery, around an extendable Teak table. The chairs feature the signature Neal Jones Furniture chair back shape, modelled on the prow of a ship, giving a luxurious and elegant form. Teak is an absolute must for exterior marine furniture – both for its luxury look and feel, and its water-resistant properties.

“We’ve worked very hard to get these pieces refined to such a pure and elegant design that will look at home on any of the residence’s terraces and decks,” says Neal, founder, and creative director of Neal Jones Furniture (NJF). “Ocean Residences are very keen to have the vessel looking 10/10 every single time it comes into port, and luxurious, consistent exterior furniture is a key part of that and featured heavily in our brief.”

“Progress on the project is moving quickly, and we’re delighted to now be able to start to show what we’ve been working tirelessly on,” adds Neal. “This superyacht is incredible, beyond words really, and we’re delighted to be playing such a pivotal role in it. The team at Ocean Residences are doing an amazing job, and I can see why residences are being quickly snapped up from clients all over the world.”

Njord, which will be the world’s largest superyacht when constructed, features 117 private residences across 13 decks, boasts a crew of 300, six distinct restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines, numerous health, and wellbeing facilities, and will operate worldwide, creating a true home from home. Additionally, the vessel is also packed with a wide range of scientific oceanographic technology, providing vital research data to charities missions, and pressing causes as it circumnavigates the globe, and boasts impressive environmental and carbon-neutral credentials.

“It’s a great feeling to now be at the stage where we can really begin to showcase how luxurious this vessel is going to be,” says Kristian Stensby, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Ocean Residences Development, currently developing the highly anticipated 117 luxury residential superyacht NJORD. “This project is going to be ground-breaking in so many ways, and we are incredibly proud of it. The vessel is nothing without luxury furniture to complete it, and we are thrilled to have Neal and his experienced team on board.”

Neal Jones Furniture will be attending the upcoming Singapore Yacht Show to coincide with the launch of their new Exterior Semi Custom brochure, where they will be on hand to discuss details of the project.
