UPDATE: Lancaster firm lands further business to design furniture for world’s largest superyacht

In addition to the news from a few months ago of Neal Jones Furniture (NJF) being appointed onto the project as a named world class designer to provide furniture to the new superyacht, M/Y Njord, it’s now been announced that they have a letter of intent to provide all of the exterior furniture for the luxury vessel.

NJF has been approached to design, create, supply and service all of the external deck furniture, from the Sun Decks, Pool Deck and Beach Club, to the Cigar Lounge Terrace, Mediterranean and Asian Restaurant terraces. This represents a huge range of furniture across twelve decks and 117 terraces for the residences and penthouses.

“This is incredible news for the company and such a great feeling for our hard-working team who put so much care into what they do,” says Neal Jones, founder and creative director. “It represents real trust and commitment in our brand and ethos, and the recognition of our absolute dedication to quality. Njord is going to be an absolutely stunning vessel, and we are delighted to be a part of bringing it to life. This is a once in a life time project to be part of and we are very excited about the opportunity”.

It’s the latest in a string of new business for the company, which continues to see its design studio and premises double in size and team grow, even in a time of economic uncertainty.

Neal studied product and furniture design at Brunel University and before setting up his own company in 2009 has previously worked for several prestigious businesses including Linley, founded by the King’s cousin, David Linley, Earl of Snowden. His designs helped furnish the homes of Elton John and Oprah Winfrey among others.

“About six years ago, we noticed that there was a gap emerging in the very niche market for furnishing exteriors of superyachts,” said managing director Melissa Jones, Neal’s wife. “It’s fantastic that our specialism for luxury in this area has been recognised, and we look forward to working with the team on this incredible yacht.”

M/Y Njord will be the world’s biggest superyacht once constructed, and will feature over 100 luxury residences. More information can be found at: https://thefinestaddress.com/

About Neal Jones Furniture

Neal Jones Furniture specialise in designing and manufacturing bespoke furniture to homes around the world, with a particular focus on furniture for the interiors and exteriors of superyachts.
